Grosjean 3D Crash Animation

Did the halo save Romains life? How did the fire start? What caused the barrier to give way? Based on all available videos and trackside images, I reconstructed the crash in 3D and created this animation, supported by an explanation of what I consider most likely has happened. Crash summary:
Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean crashed after colliding with Daniil Kvyat in the 2020 Bahrain GP. The car hit the safety barrier at over 220 km/h, which broke the middle guardrail. The halo pushed the top guardrail up and away from the cockpit. The fuel cell got punctured and ignited spreading fire over the survival cell. Amazingly, Grosjean stayed conscious (update: oops, he probably also still had a clear conscience). Over 20 seconds after being fully exposed to flames, Grosjean managed to find a gap behind the barrier and stand up from the cockpit.

Disclaimer:
At some moments during the crash, I have to make educated guesses about the dynamics of car/track elements. I do not claim that the animation is 100% accurate. It is based on the experience of a simple mechanical engineer with a fetish for crashes.
