Walnut Daifuku with Sweet Sesame and Bean Paste Filling Recipe



We are making scrumptious Daifuku with walnuts, roasted soybean flour, black sesame paste and unrefined brown sugar. This Walnut Daifuku is exactly what I expected and I’m very satisfied with the result.

How to make Walnut Daifuku

(4 pieces) Cook Time: 30 minutes

50g Shiratamako, sticky/sweet rice flour (1.8 oz)
80ml Water (2.7 fl oz)
1 tbsp Kurozato or substitute: muscovado or unrefined brown sugar
25g Roasted Walnuts, unsalted (0.9 oz)

4 tbsp Anko, sweet red bean paste
1 tsp Black Sesame Paste
Kinako, roasted soybean flour

* 1 tablespoon (tbsp) = 15 ml, 1 teaspoon (tsp) = 5 ml
